Within the framework of the design of the A6 – A21 highway link (Asti-Cuneo), SINA S.p.A. carried out the design of several lots. The A6 – A21 (Asti-Cuneo) highway link, comprising a total length of 93.2 km, is divided into two sections, interconnected by a stretch of the A6 Turin-Savona highway: Section I : A6 (Massimini) – Cuneo, from the new junction of Massimini

(Carrù) on the A6 Turin – Savona highway at the Cuneo terminal. Section II : A21 (Asti East) – A6 (Marene), from the Asti East exit on the A21 Turin – Alessandria – Piacenza to the Marene exit on the A6 Turin – Savona.

Highlights of the link are:

Total length of main axis: 90.45 km

A6 highway section of interconnection of the two sections: 20 km

Road length: 68.25 km

Total length of connections: 8.4 km

Existing section length to be adapted: 2.3 km

Length of viaducts and bridges: 8.8 km

Tunnel length: 8.1 km

Number of newly constructed interchanges: 11

In the design of this construction a section was adopted with 2 lanes for each direction of 3.75 m, 1 emergency lane of 3.00 m, 4.00 m traffic island (including 0.70 m left bank), 1.25 m verge.
