SINA-ASTM Group to attend the e-Quitas Inclusive Mobility Forum on 14 March in Bologna.
The Technical Committees of PIARC Italia: Mobility in Urban Areas, Connected and Autonomous Driving and National Road Safety Policies and Programmes, sponsored by ANAS and the Municipality of Bologna, have organised a special day dedicated to Inclusive Mobility. The event aims to raise awareness on the topic of vulnerable road users such as the elderly and people with disabilities, with a view to ensuring safety and accessibility also in the context of automated driving systems.
The Inclusive Mobility Forum will be held in Bologna on 14 March and represents an opportunity for debate aimed at identifying the key critical issues that affect vulnerable users. The event will be divided into two sessions: in the morning there will be a formal welcome by Aldo Isi (tbc) and talks by speakers from ANAS, PIARC experts – including SINA-Roberto Arditi, Chairman of the “National Road Safety Policies and Programmes” TC who will speak on the topic of “Guaranteeing Safety for Vulnerable Road Users” – and representatives from trade unions and other sector operators. The afternoon session will be devoted to themed Round Tables which will identify the most common problems, formulate recommendations, and draft a final report.
The event also aims to introduce the #MIDEApp, an app that enables people with disabilities to plan a route which provides information on accessible and usable services tailored to specific disabilities.
Three professional training credits will be issued to participants from the Order of Engineers of Bologna for attending the Forum.
