The need for detailed assessments can be triggered by many different factors, including the findings of inspections, the need to define plans to improve infrastructure, or safety issues generated by external events that may have affected the infrastructure (seismic phenomena, landslides or collisions).
SINA has been carrying out this type of study continually for years, identifying the type, cost and time frames for future measures necessary for maintaining infrastructure at appropriate operational levels from a safety, structural and functional perspective.
This also includes implementing and organising systems for the ongoing structural health management (SHM) of the infrastructure, with real-time measurement of dynamic parameters that indicate operational status, acquired by appropriate sensors installed on the infrastructure.
