“SAFE MANAGEMENT OF ROAD-NETWORK INFRASTRUCTURE: LARGE-SCALE NATIONAL INFRASTRUCTURE AND URBAN ROAD NETWORK” – A NEW SEMINAR FROM THE SINA/ASTM GROUP TRAINING SCHOOL

A new event from the “SINA-Gruppo ASTM Training School for infrastructural engineering”, was held on 28 November 2022 on the topic “safe management of road-network infrastructure”. The event was organised with the Milan Order of Engineers and in collaboration with Rome City Council.

The seminar, with over 200 participants, was held online. This is a highly fruitful and synergistic collaboration between the Foundation of the Milan Order of Engineers (FOIM) and SINA, which for the third year running made a commitment to engage with important current issues for the engineering sector, and in particular that of ROAD INFRASTRUCTURE, participating in initiatives of the SINA/ASTM GROUP training school, developed to improve engineering skills of experts, technical personnel and professionals of the ASTM Group.

The event was opened by the Councillor for infrastructure for Rome City Council, Ornella Segnalini, the Coordinator of technical departments at ASTM, Federico Lenti, and the  President of the Commission for Infrastructure and Transport of the Order of Milan, Salvatore Crapanzano. Many authoritative speakers followed one another through the day, making it a very interesting occasion for discussion and sharing of high-level expertise. This included institutional representatives Mario Nobile and Giuseppe Maria Di Blasi, general director and director of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, respectively, Stefano Zampino director at ANSFISA, responsible for regulatory issues and technical standards, and managers and experts from ASTM, Rome City Council, ASTRAL, ANAS, Tangenziale Esterna and SINA.

Four professional training credits were issued for attending the seminar to participants from the Order of Engineers. The event was also covered by numerous publications.
